Bihar Board I.Sc.
Coaching in Bettiah
Class 11 and 12 science for the Bihar Board exam. PCM and PCB batches in Hindi or English, with Bihar Board model papers in every test.

The exam
What the Bihar Board Intermediate paper looks like
In the Bihar Board Intermediate exam, about half the theory marks are objective. Each objective question carries one mark, and you mark the answer on an OMR sheet. The other half is short and long written answers. There is no negative marking.
The paper also gives a lot of choice. In the 2026 exam, Physics, Chemistry and Biology each had 70 objective questions, and a student answered any 35. The short and long answers had the same kind of choice. The questions stay close to the prescribed textbook.
Our Bihar Board batch uses Bihar Board question banks, model sets and marking rules in every test. We teach each chapter in full first. Then students practise it in the form the board asks it. The exam is usually held in February.
Preparation
Common mistakes in Bihar Board preparation, and what we do
Bihar Board and CBSE cover much the same chapters, but the question papers are different. A student who practises only CBSE-style papers meets an unfamiliar paper in the exam hall.
Common mistakes
- Practising only long answers, when about half the theory marks are objective
- Learning from notes that leave out the textbook’s terms and definitions
- Solving sample papers of another board, which give a different amount of choice
- Leaving the practical to the last week, though it carries 30 marks in each science subject
- Studying from English material while writing the exam in Hindi
What we do
- Timed objective sets every week
- Theory answers practised with the textbook’s terms, steps and diagrams
- Bihar Board model sets and past papers in every test
- Lab work, viva practice and record-file checking before submission
- Hindi medium teaching, material, test papers and answer keys
PCM: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics
For students who want engineering. Physics and Mathematics need the most practice. Class 11 mechanics and calculus are also the base for JEE.

Show the list
- Physics: mechanics, thermodynamics, electrostatics, optics, modern physics
- Chemistry: physical, inorganic and organic across both years
- Mathematics: calculus, algebra, coordinate geometry, vectors and 3D
- Physics and Chemistry practicals with viva and record-file guidance
- Optional JEE module alongside, without repeating board topics
PCB: Physics, Chemistry, Biology
For students who want medicine. Biology stays close to the textbook and is the scoring subject. Most PCB students lose more marks in Physics, so we teach it slowly and separately.

- Biology: diversity, plant and human physiology, genetics, biotechnology, ecology
- Chemistry: extra time for organic mechanisms
- Physics: taught from the basics, for students who find it hard
- Biology, Physics and Chemistry practicals with viva preparation
- Optional NEET module alongside, on the same NCERT base

Exam pattern
BSEB Intermediate exam pattern
| Subject | Theory | Practical / Internal | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Physics | 70 | 30 | 100 |
| Chemistry | 70 | 30 | 100 |
| Mathematics | 100 | None | 100 |
| Biology | 70 | 30 | 100 |

A science student sits five subjects of 100 marks each, 500 in total. About half the theory marks are objective, and the paper prints about twice as many questions as you must answer. This is the 2026 pattern. Check the Bihar Board notice on biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in for your exam year.
The two years in order
- 01 Stream Choice PCM or PCB, chosen at the start
- 02 Class 11 Core The base for Class 12 chapters
- 03 Practical & Lab 30 marks in each science subject
- 04 Class 12 Syllabus Finished before the board exam
- 05 Objective Sets About half the theory marks
- 06 Model Sets Bihar Board papers and marking
- Inter Distinction

Aims
What the two years work towards
- A first division in the Bihar Board Intermediate exam, with distinction as the target
- Full preparation for the practical and viva in each science subject
- Board and JEE or NEET preparation done side by side
- The Class 12 result a student needs to apply for state and national counselling

FAQ
Questions about Bihar Board I.Sc. coaching
Which is the best I.Sc. coaching in Bettiah, in Hindi medium or English medium?
No institute can prove it is the best, so compare things you can check. Ask if the tests use Bihar Board model papers. Ask if a Hindi medium student gets Hindi notes and Hindi test papers. Ask if you can sit in a class before you pay. Knox Learning Academy teaches Bihar Board I.Sc., Class 11 and 12, near Dr Nasir Ali Hospital (Universal Hospital & Research), Supriya Road, Bettiah. There is a Hindi medium batch and an English medium batch, for PCM and PCB. You can check all of this in a free demo class. Call 92881 10034.
Do you teach the other classes too, from Class 6 to Class 12?
Yes. Knox teaches CBSE Class 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 in English medium. In Class 11 and 12 there are two programmes: CBSE in English medium, and Bihar Board I.Sc. in Hindi medium and English medium. A student can stay at the same institute from Class 6 to Class 12.
Can I prepare for Bihar Board and NEET or JEE at the same time?
Yes. Most of our Intermediate students do both. Physics and Chemistry chapters are largely the same in the board exam and in JEE or NEET. The entrance exams ask harder questions in a different style. So the JEE or NEET module runs as extra hours, and board classes go on as usual. It is hard work, but two years is enough time for it.
Is the coaching in Hindi for Bihar Board students?
Every Intermediate subject has a Hindi medium batch. The study material, the test papers and the answer keys are in Hindi. English medium batches run alongside. You choose the medium at admission, and you can switch within the first month.
Do you prepare students for the practical examination?
Yes. Physics, Chemistry and Biology each have a 30-mark practical. We go through the full experiment list, practise the viva, and check record files before you hand them in.
Where is Knox Learning Academy located?
We are in Bettiah, West Champaran, Bihar. Students come to our classes from Bettiah, Narkatiaganj, Bagaha, Ramnagar, Chanpatia and nearby parts of West Champaran. Call 92881 10034 for directions or to book a campus visit.
Do you teach in Hindi or English?
It depends on the programme. Class 6 to 10 and CBSE Class 11 and 12 are taught in English. Bihar Board I.Sc. (Class 11 and 12) has a Hindi medium batch and an English medium batch. The entrance and government-exam batches run as the page for each one says. You get study material in the medium you enrol in.
Is there a scholarship or fee concession available?
Yes. Any applicant can sit our scholarship test. It gives fee waivers on merit. We also give concessions to siblings and to students from economically weaker families. Talk to the admissions desk about your case.
Can I attend a demo class before enrolling?
Yes. You can book a free demo class for any programme. You sit in a normal class with the batch you would join. Call 92881 10034 to reserve a seat.
