Chemistry Coaching
in Bettiah
Physical chemistry needs daily numericals. Organic needs the reason behind each reaction. Inorganic needs weekly revision. We teach all three.

Why chemistry goes wrong
Why One Method Does Not Work for All of Chemistry
Students often study all of chemistry the same way. They read the chapter and try to remember it. That works for a few pages of inorganic. It does not work for physical or organic.
Physical chemistry is like maths. You must solve problems with a pen. Organic chemistry is about how reactions happen. Once you see the pattern, there is far less to remember.
Inorganic chemistry does need memory. It stays in memory when it is revised often, in small parts. So revision is part of every week from the start of the year.
Physical, organic, inorganic
How We Teach Each Part
You will study each part of chemistry in a different way. These three cards explain how.
Physical: solve numericals
Mole concept, equilibrium, electrochemistry and kinetics. The idea is taught first. Then numericals are set every day and checked.
Organic: learn why reactions happen
We teach why a reaction goes the way it does. Then named reactions and conversions are practised in writing.
Inorganic: revise every week
The periodic table, bonding, and the d- and f-block elements. Short notes are made from NCERT and revised every week in small parts.
What we teach
Chemistry, class by class
Class 9 and 10 follow the NCERT books for CBSE. In Class 11 and 12 we teach CBSE and the Bihar Board I.Sc. syllabus. In CBSE Class 11 and 12, the chemistry theory paper is 70 marks and the practical is 30. NEET and JEE add a few topics, such as the p-block elements.
Class 9 – 10: Science (Chemistry)
- Matter, atoms, molecules and the structure of the atom
- Chemical reactions and equations
- Acids, bases and salts
- Metals, non-metals and carbon compounds
Class 11 – 12: Physical
- Atomic structure, mole concept and thermodynamics
- Equilibrium and solutions
- Electrochemistry and chemical kinetics
Class 11 – 12: Organic
- Basic principles, naming and hydrocarbons
- Haloalkanes, alcohols, phenols and ethers
- Aldehydes, ketones, acids, amines and biomolecules
Class 11 – 12: Inorganic
- Periodic classification and chemical bonding
- d-block and f-block elements
- Coordination compounds
- p-block elements, for NEET and JEE
Aims for the year
What a Year of Chemistry at Knox Works Towards
- Mole concept clear, because later chapters depend on it
- Equations balanced and written correctly
- Organic reactions understood, with the reason for each step
- NCERT read line by line, for the board and for NEET
- Short inorganic notes that can be revised in one sitting
- Board answers written with the equations the examiner looks for

FAQ
Questions Students Ask About Chemistry Coaching
Which is the best chemistry coaching in Bettiah?
Each family should decide that for itself. Check any coaching on things you can see. Is physical chemistry taught with daily numericals? Is organic explained, or only dictated? Is NCERT covered fully? Is there a written test every week? At Knox the answer to each is yes. You can sit in a free demo class before you decide.
How do I stop forgetting inorganic chemistry?
Revise it often, in small parts. Reading a whole block once is not enough. We give short notes from NCERT and revise them every week. By the exam, you have seen each part many times.
Is chemistry taught in Hindi medium?
In Bihar Board I.Sc. (Class 11 and 12), yes. It has Hindi and English medium batches. Names of compounds and key terms are taught in both languages, so a student can read a question in Hindi or English. Class 9 and 10 and CBSE Class 11 and 12 are taught in English.
Where is Knox Learning Academy located?
We are in Bettiah, West Champaran, Bihar. Students come to our classes from Bettiah, Narkatiaganj, Bagaha, Ramnagar, Chanpatia and nearby parts of West Champaran. Call 92881 10034 for directions or to book a campus visit.
Is there a scholarship or fee concession available?
Yes. Any applicant can sit our scholarship test. It gives fee waivers on merit. We also give concessions to siblings and to students from economically weaker families. Talk to the admissions desk about your case.
Do you teach chemistry for Class 11 and 12 in Bettiah?
Yes. Knox Learning Academy teaches Class 11 and 12 chemistry in Bettiah for CBSE and Bihar Board I.Sc. Physical, organic and inorganic are all covered, and the same chapters are taken up to JEE and NEET level.
Is organic chemistry only memory work?
No. Most reactions follow a small number of patterns. When you understand why a reaction happens, you can work out many answers yourself. You still need to learn the named reactions. We practise those in writing.
Can I join only for chemistry?
Please call the admissions desk on 92881 10034 to discuss this. They can tell you which batches are open for your class and board.
Do you teach in Hindi or English?
It depends on the programme. Class 6 to 10 and CBSE Class 11 and 12 are taught in English. Bihar Board I.Sc. (Class 11 and 12) has a Hindi medium batch and an English medium batch. The entrance and government-exam batches run as the page for each one says. You get study material in the medium you enrol in.
Can I attend a demo class before enrolling?
Yes. You can book a free demo class for any programme. You sit in a normal class with the batch you would join. Call 92881 10034 to reserve a seat.
