BPSC & State PSC Coaching
in Bettiah
BPSC asks a lot about Bihar: its history, rivers, administration and state schemes. We teach that portion in full, from Bihar sources.

About the exam
Why BPSC needs Bihar-specific preparation
Every BPSC paper asks about Bihar. That means its history, including 1857 and the Champaran Satyagraha. It also means its rivers, its farming economy, how the state is run, and its current schemes. The standard UPSC books do not cover this part.
We teach it in full, from Bihar sources, next to the national general studies. Students from West Champaran have one advantage here. The Champaran Satyagraha is on the syllabus, and it happened in this district.
Bihar-specific parts
What a BPSC student needs beyond national GS
We teach the national general studies core, as any civil services course does. These are the parts a BPSC student needs in addition.
Bihar history, geography, economy and polity
The 1857 uprising in Bihar, the Champaran Satyagraha, the rivers and the floods, the farming economy, how the state is run, and its current schemes. We teach these as full topics, from Bihar sources.
marks of General Hindi
You need 30% to qualify, and the marks are not added to merit. We teach the essay, grammar and précis parts in class.
Bihar current affairs, compiled monthly
Every month we collect the state schemes, budget news, appointments and other developments. Then we test you on them.

Prepared in West Champaran
You do not need to move to Patna or pay for a hostel. The Champaran history on your syllabus is the history of this district.
National GS shared with UPSC
If you are sitting both exams, you study the national GS once. BPSC adds the state portion and General Hindi. UPSC adds CSAT and a longer Mains.

BPSC
Questions students ask about BPSC coaching
Can I prepare for BPSC and UPSC together?
Yes, and it saves time. Most of the national general studies is the same for both. For BPSC you add the Bihar portion and the General Hindi paper. For UPSC you add CSAT, two optional papers that count for merit, and a longer Mains. Most students put one exam first and keep the other as a second choice.
Is the General Hindi paper difficult to clear?
You need 30% to clear it, and its marks are not added to merit. Most candidates who read and write Hindi every day clear it. It still needs practice, because a candidate who fails it is out of that attempt. The paper has an essay, grammar, sentence structure and précis. We teach all four in class.
Do you teach in Hindi or English?
It depends on the programme. Class 6 to 10 and CBSE Class 11 and 12 are taught in English. Bihar Board I.Sc. (Class 11 and 12) has a Hindi medium batch and an English medium batch. The entrance and government-exam batches run as the page for each one says. You get study material in the medium you enrol in.
Can I attend a demo class before enrolling?
Yes. You can book a free demo class for any programme. You sit in a normal class with the batch you would join. Call 92881 10034 to reserve a seat.
Which other state PSC exams does this programme cover?
The general studies base, the answer-writing practice and the current affairs work fit most state PSC exams. The state module we teach is Bihar. If you are sitting another state’s exam, we will point you to the right material for that state.
Where is Knox Learning Academy located?
We are in Bettiah, West Champaran, Bihar. Students come to our classes from Bettiah, Narkatiaganj, Bagaha, Ramnagar, Chanpatia and nearby parts of West Champaran. Call 92881 10034 for directions or to book a campus visit.
Is there a scholarship or fee concession available?
Yes. Any applicant can sit our scholarship test. It gives fee waivers on merit. We also give concessions to siblings and to students from economically weaker families. Talk to the admissions desk about your case.
