Physics Coaching
in Bettiah

We teach the idea behind each formula first. Then you solve new numericals every day, so a changed question can still be solved.

Why physics feels hard

How We Teach Physics: Idea, Formula, Numericals

Many students try to learn physics by heart. They remember the formula and the solved example. Then the exam changes one number or one word, and they cannot solve the question.

We teach in a different order. First comes the idea, with a picture or an example from daily life. Next come the formula and where it comes from. Then come numericals, easy ones first and harder ones after.

Physics also needs maths. A student who is weak in algebra or trigonometry will find numericals hard. We check this early and teach the missing maths.

What we teach

Physics, class by class

Class 9 and 10 follow the NCERT books for CBSE. In Class 11 and 12 we teach CBSE and the Bihar Board I.Sc. syllabus. In CBSE Class 11 and 12, the physics theory paper is 70 marks and the practical is 30. The same chapters are taken up to JEE and NEET level.

Class 9 – 10: Science (Physics)

  • Motion, force and Newton’s laws of motion
  • Gravitation, work, energy and sound
  • Light: reflection, refraction and the human eye
  • Electricity and the magnetic effects of current

Class 11

  • Units and measurement, kinematics and laws of motion
  • Work, energy and power, rotational motion, gravitation
  • Properties of matter, thermodynamics and kinetic theory
  • Oscillations and waves

Class 12

  • Electrostatics and current electricity
  • Magnetic effects, electromagnetic induction and AC
  • Ray optics and wave optics
  • Dual nature of matter, atoms, nuclei and semiconductors

Two ways to study

Physics learnt by heart, and physics as we teach it

The left column is how many students study physics. The right column is how it is taught at Knox.

Common mistake

  • Formulas are copied into a list and memorised
  • Only the solved examples are practised
  • Derivations are skipped because they look long
  • A changed question cannot be solved in the exam

What we do at Knox

  • The idea is taught before the formula
  • New numericals are set every day, tagged by chapter
  • Derivations are written out step by step for the board
  • A written test every week covers that week’s chapters

Aims for the year

What a Year of Physics at Knox Works Towards

  • Each formula understood, with its units and where it applies
  • Numericals solved step by step, with working shown
  • Derivations and diagrams written as the board marks them
  • Objective questions practised for the Bihar Board I.Sc. paper
  • JEE or NEET level problems along with the board syllabus
  • A written record of weak chapters, revisited until they are clear

FAQ

Questions Students Ask About Physics Coaching

Which is the best physics coaching in Bettiah?

Each family should decide that for itself. Four things are worth checking at any institute. Does the teacher explain the idea, or only the formula? Are numericals set every day and checked? Is there a written test every week? Can you sit in a class before paying? At Knox the answer to all four is yes. Call 92881 10034 to book a free demo class.

Do you teach physics for Class 11 and 12 in Bettiah?

Yes. Knox Learning Academy teaches Class 11 and 12 physics in Bettiah for CBSE and Bihar Board I.Sc. The same chapters are taken up to JEE and NEET level for students who are preparing for those exams.

Is physics taught in Hindi medium?

In Bihar Board I.Sc. (Class 11 and 12), yes. It has Hindi and English medium batches. Every key term is taught in Hindi and English together, so a student can read either version of a question. Class 9 and 10 and CBSE Class 11 and 12 are taught in English.

Is the physics for JEE different from the physics for NEET?

The chapters are largely the same. The questions differ. JEE physics problems are longer and need several steps. NEET has 45 physics questions out of 180. They are shorter, so speed matters. Each exam gets its own practice papers.

My child is weak in numericals. Can you help?

Yes. Weak numericals usually have one of two causes: an idea that was not clear, or weak maths. We find out which it is. Then we give daily practice, starting with easy problems and moving to harder ones.

Can I join only for physics?

Please call the admissions desk on 92881 10034 to discuss this. They can tell you which batches are open for your class and board.

Where is Knox Learning Academy located?

We are in Bettiah, West Champaran, Bihar. Students come to our classes from Bettiah, Narkatiaganj, Bagaha, Ramnagar, Chanpatia and nearby parts of West Champaran. Call 92881 10034 for directions or to book a campus visit.

Do you teach in Hindi or English?

It depends on the programme. Class 6 to 10 and CBSE Class 11 and 12 are taught in English. Bihar Board I.Sc. (Class 11 and 12) has a Hindi medium batch and an English medium batch. The entrance and government-exam batches run as the page for each one says. You get study material in the medium you enrol in.

Is there a scholarship or fee concession available?

Yes. Any applicant can sit our scholarship test. It gives fee waivers on merit. We also give concessions to siblings and to students from economically weaker families. Talk to the admissions desk about your case.

Can I attend a demo class before enrolling?

Yes. You can book a free demo class for any programme. You sit in a normal class with the batch you would join. Call 92881 10034 to reserve a seat.
