What I.Sc. Means
In the Bihar Board, Class 11 and 12 together are called Intermediate. The science stream is called I.Sc. A student takes Physics, Chemistry, and Maths or Biology, along with two languages.
The Bihar Board holds an annual exam for Class 11. Your school or college registers you for it. The Class 12 board result comes from the Class 12 exam. But NEET and JEE ask many questions from Class 11.

The Bihar Board follows NCERT closely. So do NEET and JEE. One good base serves all three.

The Bihar Board paper has a large objective part. Start practising it from Class 11.

Can I write the Bihar Board exam in Hindi?
Yes. Bihar Board students can write in Hindi or in English. Many students write in Hindi.
Does Class 11 matter for NEET and JEE?
Yes. Both exams ask from Class 11 and Class 12. Roughly half the questions come from Class 11 chapters. A student who skips Class 11 has to learn it again later.
Should I take PCM or PCB in I.Sc.?
Take Maths if you want engineering, and Biology if you want medicine. If you are not sure, talk to a teacher before you fill in the form. Changing later is hard.
